Born in in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, Arunima Sinha is an Indian girl with one leg who managed to conquer Mount Everest, becoming the first woman with disabilities to achieve this feat.
Early Life and Tragic Incident
From a young age, Arunima had two healthy legs and was actively involved in sports, being a member of the national volleyball and football teams. However, everything changed in when Arunima became the victim of robbers. She was attacked directly at a railway station, and when she resisted the robbers, they pushed her under a train. Arunima recalled that she remembered the fall, saw the train approaching, but she couldn't even move. She tried to get up when it was already too late - the train was already running over her leg. She didn't remember anything else from that day.
Waking up in the hospital, Arunima learned that in order to save her life, doctors had to amputate her severely injured leg. This marked
