Asaduddin Owaisi: If Waqf Bill becomes a law, Muslims wont forgive Nitish, Chandrababu and Chirag for betrayal
What do you have to say about the Parliament Waqf committees functioning and its report?

The proceedings of the committee were held in a haphazard manner. The chairman (BJP MP Jagdambika Pal) used his prerogative in a wrong way for calling stakeholders. Some of their members have been involved in terror activities while a few are facing murder charges. What stake do they have on the Waqf Bill or the issue?
Secondly, many organisations that had nothing to do with the Waqf were called.
Thirdly, the tenure of the committee was supposed to be till the last day of the ongoing Budget session but was advanced. How is it possible for members to read the document within a few hours and give dissent notes? This tells you that they did not want our dissent notes which contradicted the unconstitutional Bill.
What is your take on the amendments proposed by the NDA members, which were approved by the committee?

Asaduddin Owaisi accuses Centre of unfair treatment towards Telangana
Lok Sabha MP and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday alleged that the BJP-led central government is not treating the people of Telangana fairly.
“I feel that the government of India is not treating the people of Telangana fairly and justly. Despite having eight MPs from BJP, some of them are union ministers, justice is not being done to Telangana in terms of sanctioning projects,” ANI quoted Owaisi as saying.
The Hyderabad MP demanded that Telangana receive the same allocations as other states.
"Our only demand is that on the basis of parity, what is being given to other states should be sanctioned to the state of Telangana…Kerala, Assam, Meghalaya, Punjab and Jharkhand are smaller than Telangana, but they have more IPS officers. A proposal was made by the state of Telangana to increase the existing strength that has not been approved" he said, according to ANI.
Owaisi made the remarks after attending a meeting of MPs of state called by the Telangana government with the agenda of resolving issues pending with the Centre.

AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi Slams Maharashtra CM, RSS Over Nagpur violence
AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday criticised Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis over the recent violence in Nagpur, accusing his government of "failing" to control the situation.
Owaisi, who also expressed concern over the Israeli attacks on Palestinians, pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had remained silent on the issue during his recent podcast with American computer scientist Lex Fridman.
Addressing a gathering, the Hyderabad MP alleged, without naming him, that a Maharashtra Minister had made a provocative statement about removing the tomb of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
Owaisi also slammed Fadnavis for blaming a film, Chhaava, for inciting the violence.
“What were you (Fadnavis) doing? Is Nagpur not your city? They burnt ‘chadar’ with holy inscriptions. A complaint was filed to take action and later violence broke out. We condemn the violence. But you say it happened due to the film,” he said.
“What were you doing? Is there ‘mehndi’ on your hands? It is your government, your police and it is your intelligence failure. I
Asaduddin Owaisi slams Modi govt at AIMPLB protest: ‘Waqf Bill aims to snatch Muslim graveyards, dargahs’
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi claimed on Monday that the Waqf (Amendment) Bill is intended to snatch away graveyards, khanqahs, dargahs from Muslims. The Hyderabad MP joined the All India Muslim Personal Law Board's (AIMPLB) protest against the Bill in New Delhi.
“Our job is to protest because it is unconstitutional. This Bill is not for saving Waqf property, not for removing encroachers but for ending Waqf property, for snatching away graveyards, khanqahs, dargahs from Muslims,” Owaisi said during the protest at the national capital's iconic Jantar Mantar.
Khanqahs and dargahs are tombs or shrines of revered Muslim saints.
The AIMPLB, the apex body of Muslim clerics in India, organised the protest against the Waqf Bill, terming the proposed legislation a “direct attack” on Muslims and would pave the way for the "usurping" of Waqf properties.
