Rightfully hailed as the Twonkmasta, Brillz made a splash into the rave culture and hyped up dance clubs with his assaulting blend of sensory exploiting synth textures, chopped and screwed vocal placements, and subatomic bass drops (which seems to have become a criterion for any music calling itself EDM).
Brillz music can be thoroughly understood through a pair of headphones; however, it is at a club that his music is most apt to be consumed. The ballistic blare of neon lights, frenetic jerks of the audience, moving as if they were wind up dolls controlled by the piercing sound, and the Twonkmasta himself hailing from his throne made up of a mountain of control interfaces and turntables all work together to create a night of mindless hedonism.
Brillz can get a crowd started like no other and it is not just his music that does the working. His personality is friendly and his stage banter is likely to break the tightest of tensions.

LSDREAM may seem like a new name on the scene, but this artist has years of experience. Sami Diament, better known as Brillz and now known as LSDREAM, has been a prominent figure in the bass and trap world for years. He made his debut as LSDREAM on Liquid Stranger&#;s WAKAAN imprint in May of with Voyager, LSDREAM&#;s debut album. Now he makes his debut on Relentless Beats DJ to Watch list!
The album quickly gained LSDREAM a growing fanbase and he joined Liquid Stranger&#;s INFINITY tour. “It’s time to take a new trip,” he said when introducing his new persona. Trippy is an understatement. From the visuals to the drippy, dirty, wonky beats, LSDREAM feels like just that, an acid-induced dream. Whether it&#;s twonk trap or industrial bass, Diament continues to bring something unique to a saturated electronic market. Last month he put out his sophomore album, RENEGADES OF LIGHT. March 3rd marks a special day in electronic music. 3 years ago today, Sam Diament—who we all knew as the trap artist Brillz, launched us into his world of space bass via his new WAKAAN alias, LSDREAM. From that point on, LSDREAM has grown to be one of the most prominent in the bass music scene.

In just a few years, Brillz has seen two albums break the top 10 on iTunes’ Dance Chart, issued releases on the likes of OWSLA, Mad Decent, and Slow Roast, and unleashed mad house sets upon some of the biggest festivals nationwide—including this year’s Ultra Music Festival which featured a Big Sean X Bowie mashup. Collaborations with the likes of Diplo and airtime on BBC’s Radio 1Xtra have also contributed to Brillz’s reputation for prolific trap-flavored bass productions. We caught the man himself during the Smog vs Firepower showcase at MEKKA Miami just before a grimy, trap set that put him on the decks with fellow Twonk Team members and a special cameo from Snails.
