Calgary hard-core rock quintet Kobra And The Lotus have announced that they will be releasing a brand-new studio album titled &#;Evolution&#; on September 20th via Napalm Records. The new album is said to have some of the band&#;s most cohesive and confident material to date. For the record, Kobra and the Lotus enlisted the services of producer Michael &#;Elvis&#; Baskette[Alter Bridge, Linkin Park, Slash, Sevendust].
The band has also released a music video for the first single off the album ,&#;Burn!&#;

Kobra and the Lotus have undergone a slight shift in sound, as recognized by the title of their forthcoming record, Evolution. Hear what they've got to offer with the new song, "Burn!," below.
The song drifts away from Kobra and the Lotus' metal leanings of past, digging into deep, rolling grooves of modern day hard rock. This platform lets frontwoman Kobra Paige take the spotlight with her dominant set of pipes.
"We&#x;ve never done a record like Evolution. We&#x;ve flown demos over the Internet back and forth or started a few ideas prior to hitting the studio," Paige said of the writing process. "This time, we were all working together in the flesh for the full duration of the writing process. It&#x;s a collision of everything we love. We feel like it&#x;s the freshest and most timeless thing we&#x;ve brought to the table."
