Pra Somdej Wat Rakang was made from five kinds of sacred powders namely pattamung, ithije maharaj, puttakun and treenisinghe. The process started with incanation of holy - scripture, writing sutra and holy symbols (yantra) with chalk on a slate board, erased and rewrote several hundred times over and over again. The dust gathered thus signifies the sacred powder of the ritual. This first collected powder is called pattamung. Pattamung powder in then mixed with water to mold into a pencil shape, sun-dried and then used in writing another chapter of sutras. the process of writing and erasing is repeated as many times as stipulated in the holy sutras. The dust gathered from the second rite is ithije. the same process is performed until all five ingredients have been collected. Above is a superb beautiful, rare antique and precious Somdej Toh Ajahn Seng(Somdej Toh Teacher) Phra Khun Paen Som Chedi Kru Wat Ghutitong B.E. Wat Ghutitong is an ancient temple built more than years ago. During the reign of Rama 3, Somdej Phra Buddhacharn Toh(Somdej Toh) of Wat Rakhang, visited his teacher Luang Phor Saeng(Ajahn Saeng) at Wat Ghutitong and stayed for awhile where he created this series of amulets together with his teacher to be placed in the chedi(kru) of Wat Ghutitong for future expansion funds/uses of the temple. Like many of his amulets that were not blessed at the major Bangkok temples, these pims never attained the same noteriety and value like Somdej Wat Rakhang, Wat Bangkhunprom.

SOMDEJ PHRA PUTTAJARN TOH PHROMARANGSRI (SOMDEJ TOH)
Somdej Toh was born in 17 April B.E in the 7th years of Groong Rattanagosin era of King Rama 1st. Even though Somdej To may act rather unfashionably but never capriciously he had been known as a highly eccentric monk. The legend has is that King Rama the fourth favord him a great deal. it was also known that King was a true expert on astrology and astronomy to the extent that he could even predict the solar eclipse in advance. The king together with his son along with the diplematic corps proceeded to WhaKoh in Prachaub and withnessed the solar eclipse - an event which surprised everyone-concerning his ability in mathematical and astrological prediction.
Before he ascended to the throne he was voted unanimously by the nobility to leave monkhood and became the King of Siam. Being a keen astrologer, he believed that the birthchart of Prince Issaresrangsarn, his younger brother, was excellent so he appointed him anohter king called "Phra Pinklauo". It was also believed that the birthchart of Somdej To was also examined by the king as Somdej To did but the king were displeased with such plagiarism.
