During his student days in England, Tun Razak was a member of the British Labour Party and a prominent student leader of the Kesatuan Melayu Great Britain (Malay Association of Great Britain). He also formed the Malayan Forum, an organization for Malayan students to discuss their country's political issues.

It was a busy weekend for the President of the United States of America from the moment he touched down in his Air Force One at the Royal Malaysian Air Force base in Subang.

The Rubber Industry Smallholders’ Development Authority (Risda) was established for this purpose, while another natural resource – oil – was exploited to the maximum, with the setting up of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) – which is today a Forbes–listed entity.
