Dr Rusmir Mahmutćehajić is a Bosnian academic, author, and former statesman. Considered one of Bosnia’s leading intellectuals and public figures, he is the foremost advocate of the idea of a diverse Bosnia. A scholar of the Muslim intellectual tradition and a contributor to contemporary Muslim thought and the liberal interpretation of Islam, Professor Mahmutćehajić has served his country as Deputy Prime Minister and as Energy Minister through the process of independence and much of the war (). For the past 15 years, he has been President of International Forum Bosnia, which is dedicated to the development of critical intelligence and a plural society in Bosnia. He is the author of more than 20 books in Bosnian, some 12 of which have been published in multiple languages, and author of several hundred academic articles and essays.

U knjizi su razmatrani glavni sadržaji ideologijski osporavanog bosanstva. Tako su, prvi put korištenjem znanja iz filozofije, religije i političke filozofije, pokazani važni politički i kulturni polozi bosanstva, počelno zasnovane mogućnosti harmoničnog pluralnog društva. Ovom studijom otvorena su i podržana nova usmjerenja prema odgovoru na pitanje: Kamo i kako iz ovog političkog i kulturnog stanja Bosne i bosanstva prema njihovoj dobroj i privlačnoj budućnosti?

Rusmir Mahmutćehajić je rođen godine u Stocu. Bosanskohercegovački je naučnik, filozof i publicista. Od do godine bio je podpredsjednik Vlade Bosne i Hercegovine, a od do ministar za energetiku, rudarstvo i industriju Bosne i Hercegovine.

Objavio je više od stotinu stručnih i naučnih radova, te veliki broj knjiga. Objavio je i više knjiga autorske proze, političkih i filozofskih eseja te prijevoda na bosanski jezik.
