FUNSHO ADEOLU: IN MEMORY OF A KING AND ACTOR
HRH Oba Sunday Funsho Adeolu – Sataloye II, was the Alaye of Ode-Remo in Ogun State.
He was born in into a Christian Methodist Family, he grew up in a vicarage with a father who was a clergyman. He attended Ahmadu Bello University before proceeding to the London School of Journalism. He was best known for his role as ‘Chief Eleyinmi’ of the long running TV Drama series ‘The Village Headmaster’ written by the late Ambassador Olusegun Olushola.
He worked as a teacher at King’s College Lagos before moving to Texaco Nigeria Limited as Area Manager and afterwards to Rank Xerox Nigeria Limited as Training Manager. He also had a stint as sports commentator with the Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation from where he moved on to set up the sports department at Television House.
